Commercial

As a preferred Contractor for small and mid sized projects at Harrah’s Rincon Resort and Casino, QualCraft Construction has successfully completed multiple projects at this property. For this featured project, QualCraft Construction offered a design build solution to renovate every public restroom inside the restaurants and on the casino floor. Seamless coordination and scheduling of every phase of construction was necessary to complete work in the most timely and least disruptive manner possible. Project included new millwork, countertops, plumbing fixtures, partitions, lighting, mirrors, wall covering and tile. Each set of restrooms were completed start to finish in 5 days!

Cottages

Historic Renovation in Coronado, CA Churchill Place was a whole house remodel in Coronado. The home was originally built in the 1940’s, and the homeowners wanted to maintain its original beach bungalow charm. The designer worked diligently to replicate period details but still provide the modern conveniences available today. Details such as faux cabinet hinges, crystal door hardware, detailed ceiling beams and bead board wainscoting add to the vintage cottage charm, while modern conveniences are found in new appliances made to look old and smart home features discretely placed. The result is a comfortable, playful and beautiful beach home that is perfectly designed to welcome just a few visitors as easily as large parties. The indoor/ outdoor living allows guests to enjoy the beautiful weather the beach town has to offer, while still maintaining the cozy cottage feel the homeowners wanted to preserve.
We are humbled and very excited to have been selected to be featured in a “Kitchen of the Week” story for Houzz.com this month! Read here.

Contemporary

This hilltop Solana Beach home enjoys views of the Del Mar Fairgrounds and past the Pacific Ocean, but it’s not the view that makes this project so distinctive. The radius roof, butt glass corners and sharp building angles really make this a unique building. Owner & Architect Craig Friehauf thought through every element and detail in the design of his personal residence. Mike Jacobs-Bonnett says of this project, “I can’t recall any other project where we didn’t use a single piece of trim. Every material had to meet the adjoining material seamlessly. Very challenging, but as you can see from the pictures, very rewarding.”

Traditional

Originally constructed in the 1960′s this 8,000 square foot home was torn down to the bare studs and completely renovated by QualCraft Construction. Homeowners, Stan and Penny Boney said of the project, “When QualCraft started this project our house looked like a giant blue roofed Dairy Queen when they completed the project we were left with an amazing hilltop tuscan villa.”  With panoramic views of all of San Diego, this multi level property was designed for entertaining. Complete with bar & game room, theater, full swing golf simulator and multi level deck sitting areas, every inch of this property inside and out offers a unique and interesting experience. The use of natural materials along the side of the lush green landscape make this property come to life. Mike Jacobs-Bonnett says of the property, “When people tour this property they are  blown away by the level of finish. Every time you turn a corner you can’t help but say WOW!. Every room is spectacular!”

Historical

Originally designed by notable Master Architect Lilian Rice in the late 1920′s, this historically registered Rancho Santa Fe property had seen multiple owners and remodels during it’s 90 year lifespan. QualCraft Construction was honored to be selected as the general contractor for the complete renovation, rehabilitation and substantial addition to this property. With the commitment and passion of the current owners, this property was restored to it’s original Spanish influenced design. The project included 3,000 square feet of new living space, new multi car garage, conversion of existing garage to guest house, new professional kitchen, home theater, along with a major renovation of exterior building materials, hardscape and landscape. Mike Jacobs-Bonnett says of this property, “From the hand painted clay tiles to the one of a kind custom kitchen, I can’t help but smile every time I set foot on this property. There’s nothing else like it San Diego and I couldn’t be any prouder of our involvement in the restoration of this grand property.”
